La Jolla Cove

Famous for the La Jolla Cove where you can view the Sea Lions or you can take out a Kayak and test your skills (you will just need to get off the Beach) for those of you that enjoy a game of Golf you will find one of the Elite Golf courses – Torrey Pines.

Next on our Journey is the Exclusive Del Mar which is Famous for two Events.
First is the Del Mar Race Track http://www.dmtc.com/ “Where the Turf meets the Surf” and the Second is the San Diego County Fair

All excitement aside there is some really cool History here, downtown which dates back to the 1880”s, has many historic buildings like the Library which is a great place to browse.

“The visitor center at the San Elijo Lagoon is open to the public from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday – Sunday. The center is an excellent vantage point from which to explore the Ecological Reserve and its more than seven miles of hiking trails. Admission to the nature center is free. On Saturdays, you can join a Conservancy naturalist for a free guided walk at 10 am.”

Home to LEGOLAND and to the Carlsbad Mineral Water Spa
Carlsbad State Beach, also known as Tamarack Beach, stretches from the the warm water jetties, just south of Tamarack Avenue, to Frazee Beach, near Carlsbad Village Drive.
The Tamarack Beach Resort is located right across from Frazee Beach and the Carlsbad Seawall, a paved 4-mile walking path along the coast, extending from Carlsbad Village drive to Cannon. The seawall separates Carlsbad State Beach from Coast Hwy 101, where you can find people walking, jogging, and cycling.

Our Final stop is right over the Buena Vista Lagoon to Oceanside, California known for Camp Pendleton -Marine Corps .
Oceanside is considered the “Gateway between Metropolitan San Diego and Los Angeles”.
San Luis Rey Mission a National Historic Landmark
“Welcome to Mission San Luis Rey de Francia, a National Historic Landmark founded in 1798 located in Oceanside, California. Known as the “King of the Missions”, it is the largest of the 21 California Missions.”
and the second is the Historical Oceanside Pier, spanning 1,942 feet in length this is the longest wooden pier on the West Coast.
Just a quick tip for the Fisherman in your Family, they do not need a Fishing License to fish on the Pier

Buena Vista Audubon Nature Center

“Home to the Buena Vista Audubon Nature Center, and California’s first Ecological Reserve, Buena Vista Lagoon is a 223-acre wetland habitat located within the cities of Carlsbad and Oceanside. It is owned and managed by the California Department of Fish and Game. At least 103 bird species, 18 mammals, and 14 amphibians and reptiles live in and around the lagoon, and many more birds visit during spring and fall migrations. Altogether, over 200 bird species have been observed.”
